Child Safety Standards
Travel Peeps has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE). This page sets out our standards, how to report CSAE to us, and how we respond.
Who we are
Travel Peeps is a social travel app operated from the United Kingdom. These standards apply to the Travel Peeps app and to every service we provide, and they apply to everyone who uses them.
Our standards
The following are strictly prohibited on Travel Peeps:
- Child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and any other content that sexualises a minor.
- Grooming, sextortion, solicitation of a minor, or any attempt to arrange or facilitate the sexual exploitation of a minor.
- Trafficking of minors, or promoting, normalising or glorifying the sexual abuse of minors.
- Sharing, requesting or linking to any of the above, including off-platform.
Breaching these standards results in immediate and permanent removal from Travel Peeps. We do not issue warnings for CSAE.
Travel Peeps is for adults
Travel Peeps is intended for people aged 18 and over. We ask for date of birth at sign-up and block registration by anyone under 18. If we learn that an account belongs to a minor, we remove it and delete the associated data.
How to report
You can report a user, a message, or a post from inside the app at any time:
- Open the profile, conversation, or post you want to report.
- Tap the Report option and tell us what you saw.
- You can also block the user immediately from the same screen.
You can also reach us through Settings → Send feedback in the app, or by email at hello@travelpeeps.app. Reports involving child safety are prioritised above all other reports.
If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first.
How we respond
When we become aware of apparent CSAE on Travel Peeps, we act promptly to:
- Remove the content and suspend the account involved.
- Preserve the relevant records where we are required or permitted to do so, so that they are available to law enforcement.
- Report apparent CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) (opens in new tab) and, in the United Kingdom, to the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) (opens in new tab), and cooperate with law enforcement.
- Ban the individual from Travel Peeps and take reasonable steps to prevent them returning.
Legal compliance
We comply with child safety laws in the jurisdictions where Travel Peeps is available, including the United Kingdom's Online Safety Act, and we cooperate with lawful requests from law enforcement and child protection authorities.
Child safety point of contact
